Install Blue Line
Do not follow the instructions that come in the box.
You also need:
- Wi-Fi Access – You need your network name (SSID) & security code.
- Flat Screwdriver – To open the battery compartment and also secure the metal strap to meter.
If you're having problems getting the Blue Line connected:

Plug the power adapter into an outlet BEFORE plugging it into the donut.
Do not plug the adaptor to the donut yet.
Hold SYNC button (1) while you plug the power adaptor (2) into the donut.
After 6 seconds the status light turns solid GREEN.
When you let go, it'll flash RED then flash GREEN.
Connect your computer to the wireless network with the name "pcmwifi".
Note: Windows 8, requires a more manual setup. Here's a video to help.
After about 30 seconds, type the URL http://192.168.187.1.
Then click on the "Settings" option.
You are connected to the donut's wifi and the setting page appears.
First, change the application partner to People Power.
Enter your network SSID, passcode (both are case sensitive) and select the eastern time zone.
Leave the other defaults as they are. Click Save.
Wait for the status light to turn solid RED or solid GREEN.
This means the Donut is connected to your network now.
Return the Wi-Fi connection on your laptop or tablet to your normal home network.
Connecting to the donut was temporary so we could tell it how to connect to your home network.

(Hint: The metal ring is under the cardboard cutout in side the box.)
Press the reset button on the meter sensor for two seconds then release.
After pressing the reset button on the meter sensor it will turn solid RED and look for a signal from your meter.
When correctly aligned the status light flashes RED.
If the status light does not change to flashing RED in 30 seconds adjust the reader and press the reset button for 2 seconds and repeat the process.
If flashing after several minutes the status light will flash only about once every minute to save battery power.
On the donut, press the SYNC button about 6 seconds so it'll look for the reader.
The status light turns RED and the donut will start looking for a signal from the meter reader.
Press the reset button on the meter reader for 2 seconds.
On the sensor you will see the same status light behavior as before; solid RED then flashing RED.
The donut's status light will turn GREEN when it finds the meter reader signal.
Sign in with you Presence Pro Energy email address and password.
When the activation succeeds you'll be returned to your Blue Line dashboard.
If the URL doesn't display, the settings are incorrect and you need to repeat the process.
If you go to the status tab and "Not connected" shows up under sensor signal quality:
- Press reset on the donut for about 3 seconds until the light is solid red.
- Press reset on the meter sensor 1 second.
- In a minute or two the status page should show the signal quality as a positive number.
