Getting Started with Presence 360

Setting up your Presence Camera

  1. Open  up the Presence App on you camera device and sign into your account
  2. Make sure the Bluetooth is turned on with your camera
  3. Attach the device to your robot and insert the provided power adapter.
  4. Open the Presence Camara. The Camera automatically pairs with the robot and begins the second part of the calibration process.
  5. The robot, will quickly, bow down then up, then rotate 1 or 2 times clockwise 360 degrees.
  6. The robot will begin the third part of the calibration process by slowly, centering itself, bow down then bows up back to center.
  7. The blue light on the robot will blink slowly.

Now on with your Presence App remote

  1. Open up the Presence App on your personal (second) device and sign in to your account.
  2. You'll see your new robotic Presence Device with the new Presence 360 icon in your of devices.
  3. Now select your robotic camera the the viewer begins to connect the the remote video stream.
  4. After a few seconds the stream is established.
  5. Now taps the screen to move the robot to a new position. Immediately the you'll see the physical robot move and their video stream shows the new position.

Set up Vantage Points

  1.  Access your Presence 360 Camera from your remote, you should see the video stream.
  2. Move your  the camera to an interesting position by tapping the screen.
  3. Add a new vantage point by selecting Options > P360 Vantage Points > Add a Vantage Point... > Next
  4. Select the Vantage Point Name text field to set a new name for this vantage point. Now select the Vantage Point Wait Time picker and updates the wait time.
  5. Now taps back 4x times to exit the camera

Add more Vantage Points

  1. Select the Vantage Point Name text field to set a new name for this vantage point. Now select the Vantage Point Wait Time picker and updates the wait time.
  2. Tap back 3x times to exit the options menu
  3. Now moves the camera to an interesting position by tapping the screen.
  4. Add a new vantage point by selecting Options > P360 Vantage Points > Add a Vantage Point... > Next
  5. Select the Vantage Point Name text field to set a new name for this vantage point. The user selects the Vantage Point Wait Time picker and updates the wait time.
  6. Now tap back 4x times to exit the camera. You can add 3 vantage points.

How do I setup my robot? 

Presence 360 is super easy to setup. Check out our setup guide here. 

 

* How do I move the robot? 

Once you have a smartphone installed in the robot and it is paired automatically through Bluetooth, you can begin to control it remotely. 

First open your Presence app on your primary smartphone or tablet and sign in with the same username and password as your Presence camera. Once a connection has been established, tap anywhere on the screen to center the robot on that spot. 

You can tap multiple times on the left or right side to make the robot spin around 360 degrees. 

 

* My phone’s battery is losing charge, what can I do? 

Some phones with large screens are quite power hungry. Tap the ‘Dim Screen’ button on your Presence Camera to lower the power consumption and charge your phone properly. Tap anywhere on the screen again to bring your camera view back up. 

Also, check the connection of the micro-USB cable that powers your robot to ensure it has a snug fit. 

 

* What does the blue light mean? 

Blinking quickly in and out – The robot is looking for a phone to pair with. 

Blinking quickly – The robot is pairing or unpairing from a phone. 

Breathing slowly in and out – The robot is paired with a phone, and active. 

 

* What does the button on top of the Presence 360 do? 

You can ignore the button on top of the Presence 360. It’s used to unpair with a phone, if held for 5 seconds. 

 

* Can I mount Presence 360 to a camera mount? 

Yes, Presence 360 is compatible with all standard camera tripods and mounting systems. 

 

* How do I set up Vantage Points? 

Vantage points can only be set up while viewing your camera remotely. 

From your primary smartphone, tap into view your Presence Camera that is on the Presence 360. Drill into the Options Menu. Tap “Vantage Points”, and then “Add a Vantage Point…”. 

Tap on the camera feed to position the camera in the direction you want it to face. Follow the in-app instructions by clicking Next in the top right corner. Give your vantage point a nickname and the amount of time you want it to sit at that vantage point. Finally, click the Back arrow to back out of editing your vantage point.

Vantage points can only be set up while viewing your camera remotely.
